Spend four days in beautiful Santa Fe while learning a broad range of chant repertoire—English, Latin, modern, and traditional—for all three liturgical cycles!

Topics will include:

What Chant to Sing: Sessions taught by Fr. Columba Kelly, OSB, Ph.D., world-renowned scholar of Gregorian chant and composer and teacher of chant principles, and English Liturgical Chant repertoire. Member of the NPM Chant section committee. Sessions will include instruction on reading neumes (chant notation) and praying the text of the liturgy.

How to Direct Chant: Sessions taught by Ray Henderson,Director of liturgical music and organist, Our Lady of Hope Parish, Carle Place, New York. Sessions will include instruction on conducting choir/congregation in semiological chant.

How to integrate Chant in the Liturgy: Sessions taught by multiple instructors and will include discussion of the practicalities (pedagogical, liturgical, and musical) of reintegrating chant into congregational music.
